Emily Good Weasel is a 24 year old student of psychology and is an Oglala Lakota Sioux Native American who grew up in South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation but currently resides in Las Vegas, NV. Today Emily is a representative of Runway Beauty Native America and promotes healthy living and lifestyles, she herself has experienced abuse firsthand and seen the devastation caused by domestic violence, and child abuse on her reservation throughout her youth and continues to see the devastation and reoccurring cycles in her current generation. Emily says "I'm super excited to see this event take place" she wants to represent her Native American people to break the stereotypes and bring awareness. Emily was in an abusive relationship at a young age which caused a very negative self image causing her to gain a substantial amount of weight. She also says "I really didn't realize how much it affected me until I tipped the scale at 192". Since then she has dropped 60 ibs. and currently works as a personal trainer, promotional model while her long term goal is to work in clinical psychology for youth and teens.
